On Tuesday 21st August there will be an informal time of prayer, meditation and reflection in church from 2.00 to 5.00 pm. Everybody is welcome to come for as long or as short a time you are able.
There will therefore NOT be a fellowship meeting on that evening.
On Tuesday 28th August at 7.15 pm we will be watching the first part of the film Molokai. This is the true story of Father Damien, a Roman Catholic priest from Belgium born in 1840, who went to live with the abandoned lepers on the island of Molokai, Hawaii. After eleven years of caring for their physical, spiritual and emotional needs Father Damien realised that he also had caught the disease when he was scalded by hot water but felt no pain. He continued with his work despite the infection but finally died in April 1889.
